HENNING COMPANIES ERECTING NEW HENDRIX HATCHERY IN GRAND ISLAND, NE

Henning Companies broke ground on a new state-of-the art hatchery in Grand Island, NE in August 2016.  The facility which will be over 61,000 ft.2 in extent will be completed by September 2017.

In December 2015 Henning Companies’ assembled a design team and worked with equipment suppliers and other vendors to finalize a design satisfying both functional efficiency and cost.  At the current time, the superstructure has been erected, the building is enclosed and the roof completed.

Insulated ceiling panels are being installed and incubators will be erected during mid-March onwards.  The hatchery will accommodate 30 setters and 18 hatchers to produce 24 million chicks annually.

Hatcheries are complex projects involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC and electronic installations to support modern incubators and require expertise in planning and project management.
